Smart Homeschool Math (Ages 13-14) (Quarter 2)
Aligned with the K-12 Mathematics Curriculum of the Department of Education, this course enhances the basic concepts and skills in mathematical thinking, and also includes topics beyond the prescribed curriculum. It adheres to the spiral progression approach of teaching and learning mathematics.
Developing the problem-solving skills and critical-thinking ability of every learner as its ultimate objectives, this course
- supports the different learning principles and theories that are relevant to mathematical understanding such as discovery and inquiry-based learning, constructivism, cooperative learning, reflective learning, and experiential and situated learning through its various features
- presents authentic and straightforward development of each lesson
Learners will attend a series of TWENTY (20) sessions over the course of TEN (10) weeks. There will be two sessions per week.
Each session will last between forty minutes to one hour. Teaching will be conducted via Zoom or VSmart School, Vibal's online school platform, by Vibal's licensed professional teachers. Class size is between ten to fifteen students.
The course is meant for home-based learners who are looking for a supplemental quarterly academic program for their online and/or modular classes in formal schooling or homeschooling.

This course will contain downloadable activity sheets and resource materials. Parents or guardians will be provided with the activity plan throughout the course.
